Exhibition Announcement31st May 2012
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding an exhibition of Royal Portraiture spanning four hundred years this Summer.
There will be a variety of works on show, and will feature portraits from the Tudor period up until the end of the Regency. The show will provide an interesting analysis of how the style of monarchial portraiture changed over time, and how these images were used during the times they were produced. The show will also feature a wide selection of portrait miniatures, which played a crucial role (often during politically tubulant times) as a sign of support and loyalty.
The exhibition will be on display during Master Paintings Week in London (29th June-6th July)
