We will at any one time have a large selection of fine paintings for sale, including Tudor and Jacobean panel pictures, eighteenth century landscapes, and modern British portraits.

Philip Mould OBE has specialised in British art for over twenty years, and is regarded as the foremost expert in British portraiture. He works closely with private collectors and institutions to build their art collections, and is widely consulted by the media.

The gallery’s work is driven by scrupulous attention to detail and academic research.  By examining a picture’s provenance, for example, or undertaking the careful removal of later overpaint, we have been able to make a number of important discoveries. We also host annual exhibitions, with loans from international institutions.

Philip Mould Ltd is a financial supporter of The National Portrait Gallery and regularly sponsors exhibitions and appeals by public institutions including the Royal Cornwall Museum, Falmouth Art Gallery and the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. Philip Mould is also a trustee of the Tony Banks Memorial Trust for the acquisition of historical works for museums throughout the UK, and a Patron of the charity Fight for Sight.
